Wow, what a week! Saying that my week didn’t go as planned is quite the understatement. At the beginning of the week I received real bad news that totally came as a surprise. I felt really upset and it had a big impact on my mood for the rest of the week. That’s also the reason why I skipped my Wednesday blogpost. I didn’t feel like writing happy stuff when I wasn’t feeling that way so I took a step back. I just wanted to briefly explain my absence as I didn’t skip the posts because of laziness.
Luckily I feel better now. That means back to blogging! I have some ideas lined up for upcoming posts so I hope you’ll keep an eye on the blog again.
Today’s post is a peek in my lazy Sunday (yesterday) which was much needed after the craziness. The reference to Circus in the title for obvious reasons 😉 I had this idea for some time, to share this once in a while apart from monthly diary. I always get inspired myself when seeing these type of posts of fellow bloggers and I sort of feel like I get to know them a bit through these personal posts.
Here’s what I did yesterday!
At 9:30 I decided to get out of bed. The older I get, the more I can’t sleep till late. When I was younger, I could sleep till 12 on the weekends and now I am up and ready so early. Who else has this?
Time for breakfast! No special brekkie this time but some avocado toast and some cold coffee with unsweetened soy milk. I usually never drink milk in my coffee but I thought it would be nice in a cold coffee.
One of the things I like doing on the weekend is going for a morning walk. I love the feeling of the morning breeze and fresh and pure wind. I can highly recommend it. For me, it’s a way to wake up and at the same time get energy for the day.
Back at home. It had gotten so warm outside so I was in need of a big glass of water. In the end it was 29 degrees yesterday. After this little break I did some household things such as clearing out the dishwasher and vacuuming. It’s not glamorous but thats life :p
Then it was time for a bit of social media. I scrolled through Instagram, Bloglovin and my WordPress feed.
Lunchtime! I also had halve a mango
After lunch I went though the hanging part of my closet and arranged it. It was a complete mess and it is just so packed (hoarder).
I also selected a few items that I will sell online (Dutchies and people from Belgium – Have you had a look on my United Wardrobe account?)
While I was arranging my clothing it started raining so heavily. Boo!
After rearranging my closet, I rewarded myself with a piece of watermelon I love watermelon ❤
I got a bit sleepy and had a power nap. My sleeping pattern is so messed up as you already know so every bit of sleep is welcome.
Because it was such a warm day, I didn’t feel like a warm meal for dinner so I made a shrimp salad with avocado.
On weekends I treat myself to something nice. I bought red velvet cake, which looked more pink than red. It was all right, not the best cake I had, but nice.
After dinner I waited a while and then it was time for a small work out.
Wednesdays and Sundays are my mask days! A little moment of pampering at the end of the day, love it.
I ended the day by taking a shower and I watched the movie San Andreas.
How was your weekend? Do you also like having these lazy Sundays? Let me know in the comments whether you like this kind of posts.
Wishing you all a lovely week xxx
